(Jefferson) Greene County Head Coach Caden Duncan is preparing his squad for a physical battle against Atlantic in a Class 3A District #6 matchup this Friday night. Both teams enter the contest with records of 4-2.
Three Trojan running backs rushed for over 100 yards last week, supported by an offensive line featuring Donovan Hedrington, Jack Muller, Owen Miller, Kael Cameron, Travin Thomas, and Roland Hinmann. Duncan expressed his admiration for the Trojans’ defense. Atlantic held Perry to just over 60 yards in both rushing and passing last week.
Coach Duncan acknowledged that games with Atlantic have often come down to the wire and expects nothing different this Friday night.
On the other side, the Rams showcase a solid offense, accumulating 669 rushing yards and 958 passing yards, led by quarterback Zack Stalder. The junior has completed 57.4 percent of his passes and has thrown for 12 touchdown passes. Coach Duncan is impressed with his first-year quarterback. Among the Rams’ playmakers are Jeron Jacobs, who has 14 receptions for 289 yards, and Broc Stream, with 17 catches for 133 yards.
