(Atlantic) The Atlantic Cross Country Teams host a large meet today. Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says 21 boys’ teams and 20 girls’ teams will compete this afternoon at the Nishna Hills Golf Course. He says the favored teams in the girls’ race are Lincoln Pius, Harlan, and Glenwood.
Vargason wants to see how his girls will respond in this highly competitive field.
Coach Vargason says the boys’ meet is equally loaded with talent.
The meet starts at 4:00 p.m. with the middle school boys, followed by the middle school girls. The senior recognition is scheduled for 4:20. The J.V. boys will compete at 4:40, followed by the varsity boys at 5:05, the varsity girls at 5:30, and the J.V. girls at approximately 5:55.
