(Atlantic, IA) — Dante Hedrington graduated from Atlantic in 2024 but he has found a home at a Junior College in California. Hedrington is playing running back for the Rams of Fresno City College and he is getting some playing time in his sophomore season. After not really seeing the field last year, Hedrington has found the end zone twice this season. In Fresno’s third game, Hedrington had 6 carries for 50 yards and a TD in a 42-28 win against American River. A week later, he only got 4 carries for 2 yards but made his first two receptions of the season for 35 yards and another score in a 29-28 loss to San Francisco. So far Fresno is 2-3 and Hedrington is glad for the opportunity to contribute
This past weekend was the bye for Fresno so Hedrington came back to Atlantic for Homecoming to see his younger brother Donovan suit up for the Trojans. Hedrington says there were a lot of adjustments for him going from Atlantic to playing college football
Even though Dante is in California, he keeps tabs on his brother Donovan and never forgets what he learned for Coach Brummer at Atlantic
Hedrington is a Biology major at Fresno and hopes to transfer to another school for Pre-Med and continue his football career after getting his associates degree. Fresno will visit Modesto this coming Saturday.
