(Atlantic) Excitement is building as auction items continue to roll in for the Atlantic Rotary Club Charity Dinner and Auction, set for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Cass County Community Center.
This year’s event features a wide range of unique and local offerings, including autographed memorabilia from Iowa sports figures Zach Johnson, a professional golfer, and Jan Jensen, head coach of the Iowa Women’s Basketball team. Also up for bid is a private basketball coaching session with Atlantic native Ryan Hawkins.
For those curious about the massive cranes often seen around town, Shawn Sarsfield with Cheqed It will offer an educational opportunity to learn more about the equipment. Home décor enthusiasts can look forward to a patriotic picture featuring a combine and bean field, donated by Atlantic Ag and Auto, along with many other items available in both the live and silent auctions.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes dinner, a cash bar, and both silent and live auctions. Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased from any Rotarian or by contacting Ted Robinson at First Whitney Bank.
Funds raised from the event are reinvested into the community, supporting organizations such as the Nishna Valley YMCA, local schools and preschools, the Cass Health Foundation, the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, and scholarship programs for high school seniors and Iowa Western students.
A raffle will again accompany the auction, with proceeds benefiting the Atlantic Food Pantry to help purchase a commercial refrigerator/freezer. Raffle tickets are $20 each or six for $100, with prizes including:
• First Prize – 2025 Hustler Raptor XD 54” Mower
• Second Prize – $500 cash
• Third Prize – $250 cash
Tickets can be purchased from any Rotarian or Food Pantry volunteer.
