(Osceola, IA) — Clarke Community High School hosted a cross country meet on Tuesday and Chariton won the boys competition taking the top 4 spots in the race. Martensdale St. Mary’s won the girls team standings with only 4 full teams competing.
Lucas Anderson of Chariton won at 17:05.10 with Cy Stuart 2nd, Cody Dixson 3rd and Titan Reed 4th. Creston’s Wyatt Goodenberger was 5th at 17:43.49. The top finish for Lenox was Eli Gard in 82nd. 90 runners competed.
On the girls side, Karson Oberender of Martensdale St. Mary’s was the winner at 20:07.07. Cora Smith of Creston was 3rd; Reese Strunk of Creston was 4th; Addison Junker of Lenox finished 8th. There were 46 girls runners in the field.
Southwest Valley competed at the meet — no girls competed but the Timberwolves boys finished in 8th place out of 9 teams.
