(Wadena, Iowa) A 13-year-old girl suffered serious injuries when her mini bike struck a vehicle at an intersection in Wadena, Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Saturday at 3:06 p.m. at West Sacramento and South Mill Street. The 13-year-old was operating a mini-bike eastbound on Sacramento Avenue and approaching the intersection of South Mill Street when she failed to yield at the posted stop sign for eastbound traffic and struck an eastbound 2021 Toyota on the front passenger left wheel. The 13-year-old was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by Gunderson ambulance, Wadena First Responders, and Wadena Fire.
