(Guthrie Center, IA) — At Tuesday’s supervisor’s meeting, Ron Woods came before the board with the intention of buying nine acres of land that belongs to the county on the County Farm. Woods is from the area, left for a time but is back and has been working on the land surrounding the parcel. Woods says that the land in question has been neglected and he has a purpose for it
Supervisor Chair Maggie Armstrong says before they proceed the supervisors must decide if they want to sell the land and requested a proposal from Woods on the price. The land is also currently being leased so Armstrong says that has to factor in as well
The Board of Supervisors said they would contact the current tennant as the next step in a possible sale.
