(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors signed a letter of support for a SWITA Transportation grant.
Mark Lander, Transit Director, told the Supervisors they are planning to launch a pilot project called SWI Ride in the next fiscal year.
The letter of support will accompany a grant proposal to the Iowa DOT for $100,000, with $50,000 requested in FY27 and $50,000 in FY28.
The Supervisors unanimously approved signing the letter of support.
The Supervisors also approved a proposed employment agreement for the Engineer position. Once the agreement is officially accepted, the new Engineer will be named.
