(Des Moines) Five people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Polk County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 4:48 a.m. this (Sunday) morning on Interstate 35 near mile marker 87. A 2012 Chevy Equinox traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on Interstate 35 collided head-on with a 2022 Ford F150 pickup.
The State Patrol identified the five injured persons as:
*25-year-old ILiana Tijeros,of Webster City.
*25-year-old Charles Joseph Williams, of Ankeny.
*27-year-old Irina Catherine Hamelund, of Ankeny.
*22-year-old Jonathan David McKeever, of Woodward.
*21-year-old Kadance E. Miller, of Gilman, Illinois.
Polk County EMS transported all five occupants to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
