(Atlantic) The regular season for the Atlantic Girls’ Tennis team wraps up today at Southwest Valley. Postseason play starts on Wednesday with a Class 1A Region 1 Individual Tournament at Atlantic.
Atlantic Head Coach Mike McDermott says the team has been battle-tested. McDermott believes the Trojans have some individuals who could compete for a spot in the State Tournament.
Coach McDermott admits that they are going to have to play their best tennis to advance, considering the fierce competition.
The nine teams competing in the Class 1A Individual Tournament in Atlantic on Wednesday include Clarinda, Shenandoah, Red Oak, Atlantic, Harlan, Audubon, Glenwood, Southwest Valley, and St. Albert. The Tournament starts at 9:00 a.m.
