(Holstein, IA) — Around 40 cross country teams went to a large meet hosted by Ridge View High School on Saturday — the schools were divided into Class A and Class B and Riverside won the Boys Class B division in dominating fashion. The Bulldogs scored 33 points well ahead of 2nd place East Sac County with 111. Riverside had 3 runners in the top 4 and 6 in the top 17. For this first time this season, Brody Henderson beat his brother Dawson by 3 seconds: 16:44.50 to 16:47.50. Owen Fenner was 4th at 17.06.90. Cruz Jaquez was 13th, Eli Hudnall was 15th and James McCready was 17th.

Woodbine’s Aiden Summerfield was 5th (17:07.10)
Boyer Valley’s Dane Gorham was 6th (17:09.00)
Logan Magnolia’s Landon Thayer was 7th (17:16.40)
IKM Manning’s Ikeo Maynard was 26th (18:47.90)
AHSTW’s Ty Nelson was 63rd (20:06.70)
Kuma Gutema of Sioux City North won the Class A race with a time of 15:29.70 and he led the Stars to the team title. Dayton Wiederin of Kuemper Catholic was 4th (17:06.80). There were 58 runners in Class A.

On the girls side, Chloe Broer of West Monona won the Class B division at 20:21.92 with Allysen Johnsen of Logan Magnolia in 2nd (20:26.27). Newell Fonda was the team champ with 68 points, Sibley Ocheyedan was 2nd with 97. IKM Manning 9th (239), Riverside 12th (285), AHSTW 13th (319), Boyer Valley and Woodbine tied for 15th (375).

In Class A, Natalie Anderson of MOC Floyd Valley was the winner (18:44.34). Humboldt had runners in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th but the Lady Dutch took the team title with 49 points, Bishop Heelan 2nd with 63 and Humboldt 3rd with 68.
