(Orem, UT) — A suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk could face the death penalty. Court records show Tyler Robinson was arrested on state charges of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice. President Trump has stated several times the “animal” who murdered Kirk should be put to death. Reports say federal charges could be filed as soon as today. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Justice Department may seek the death penalty, and Utah Governor Spencer Cox has made a point to note his state has capital punishment for certain crimes.
