(Audubon, IA) — Western Iowa Conference volleyball begins tonight as Tri Center visits Audubon, coverage on KSOM and Western Iowa Today TV.
The Wheelers played on Tuesday night and swept Glidden Ralston (25-17, 25-15, 25-19) led by Harlow Miller’s 16 kills — the Senior has 69 kills to start the season. Interim Coach Chris Derry says she is a complete offensive player
Also for Audubon Kadence Sporrer has 56 kills and is co leader with 64 digs, Maddy Derry is the libero with 64 digs Anna Larsen has 145 assists. Derry says disrupting Tri Center’s style of play will be key tonight
Tri Center last played Saturday at a tournament in Clarinda and went 2-3 with wins over Shenandoah and West Central Valley. The Trojans are led by Junior Harlie Leaders with 74 kills, 18 digs and 21 blocks. Head Coach Elizabeth Thielen says she does just about everything
Harlie’s sister Teri has 43 kills and is 2nd on the team with 12 blocks and Thielen says the sisters will have to find a way to block Miller
In addition to the Leaders sisters, Tri Center has three sets of twins on the team — Jozie and Zohie Payne, Lauren and Hailey Harder and Ella and Kara Wingert.
