(Shenandoah, IA) — Shenandoah won the Hawkeye Ten Girls Tennis Conference Meet on Wednesday. The Mustangs got two conference champions with Gabi Jacobs at #1 singles and Lyla Mather and Rachel Hobbie at #2 doubles. Shenandoah beat Clarinda by 4 points as Ella Cole was a champion for the Cardinals at #2 singles. St. Albert finished third led by the #1 doubles title of Ellie O’Donovan and Ella Narmi.
Atlantic finished in 5th place just one point behind Kuemper Catholic 15-14. Lily Willrich had the best finish for the Trojans in 4th place at #2 singles despite only going 1-2 on the day. Jacobi Harter was in 5th place at #1 singles going 4-1. Dylin Ball and Taryn O’Brien finished 5th place at #2 doubles losing their first match but winning the next three in the consolation round. Shauna Anderson and Aubrey Winford went 1-2 at #1 doubles.
Harlan finished in a three way tied for 6th place with 10 points. The best finish for the Cyclones was at #2 doubles for Lauren Schmitz and Mariajose Guerrero Luna who placed third. Rebekah Christensen finished in 5th place at #2 singles going 4-1 in her matches. Anastacia Kay was 0-2 at #1 singles and Chloe Swensen and Catherine Fah went 1-2 at #1 doubles.
