Next up for the Trojans is Des Moines Christian, a team described by Brummer as a squad with a lot of size.
Coach Brummer says Des Moines Christian is one of the top teams in Class 3A and will undoubtedly come ready to play on Friday night.
Coach Brummer says the Lions’ defense has not allowed a point in the first half.
The Trojans have two solid kickers in Trevor Ellison and Zander Killion. Killion is averaging 39.3 yards per punt and handles the kickoff chores. Ellison is three-for-four kicking PATs, and booted a 29-yard field goal last week.
It will also be National Military Appreciation Night. Military members receive free admission, and two military vehicles will be on display. The Trojans will wear custom military jerseys and enter the field through an inflatable tunnel before kickoff.
The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. We will have the broadcast on 95.7 F.M., and live-streamed on westerniowatoday.com TV, and YouTube. The Pre-game show starts at 6:00 p.m.
