(Des Moines, IA) — There is a new number one in Class 5A — after beating Valley last Friday, Waukee Northwest is now at the top spot with Iowa City Liberty moving up to number two.
The biggest jump in 4A is North Polk who has beaten Lewis Central and Newton in back-to-back games and the defending 4A champs move from #9 to #4.
Des Moines Christian made a big jump this week in Class 3A — the Lions have wins over ranked opponents Van Meter and Roland Story and they went from #10 to #5. DMC will visit Atlantic this Friday, coverage on KS 95.
Alburnett moved from #9 to #3 in Class 2A after a 42-37 win over Mid Prairie who slipped from #6 to #9.
In Class 1A, Tri Center lost to 2A #2 OABCIG and the Trojans only fall to #6. District and conference rival Underwood moved above the Trojans from #6 to #5. Treynor stays at #8 after their loss to Van Meter.
AC/GC moved from #5 to #4 after a 2-0 start in Class A; Riverside is back in the top ten after beating Mount Ayr who left the top ten.
In 8 man, Fremont Mills stays at #5, Woodbine at #6 and Audubon at #7 after most every team in the top ten won last week. Bedford did enter the top ten at #10.
