(Lincoln, NE) — It was a lopsided Saturday for the Nebraska football team as they cruised past Akron 68-0. It was the third biggest blowout in modern Huskers history and it was the first shutout since 2009. Dylan Raiola was 24-31 passing for 364 yards and 4 TD. The Huskers led 33-0 at the half but Head Coach Matt Rhule was not happy when the Zips drove down the field and almost had a field goal. Rhule says he wants teams walking away from Lincoln not ever wanting to return
Emmet Johnson had a big game for the Huskers on the ground with 14 carries for 140 yards and 2 TD. Rhule thinks his development is coming along
This week Nebraska plays FCS school Houston Christian. The Huskies won 69-0 over Arkansas Baptist but lost 20-10 last week to Eastern Kentucky. Rhule says you cannot let up just because you are facing an FCS team
Its the last non-conference game for Nebraska, kickoff is 11 am this Saturday in Lincoln, it will be televised by Fox Sports One.
