(NAFB) The U.S. has significant tariffs in place on a number of imports from Brazil. The Farmdoc team at the University of Illinois looked into the impact of the tariffs on prices in the U.S. Joana Colussi an agricultural economics instructor at the University of Illinois, said Brazil is one of the world’s biggest exporters.
The tariffs apply to many of Brazil’s biggest agricultural exports to the U.S., including coffee.
Coffee supports numerous U.S. jobs.
The beef sector also faces challenges because of tariffs.
