(Anita, IA) — CAM’s Volleyball team is hoping to turn things around this season — after getting over 20 wins for four seasons in a row, the Cougars went 9-19 last year. Senior Krista James returns after 152 kills last year and so does Junior Ruthie Rich with 125 kills but Maddie Richter and Gracie Venteicher have graduated but Head Coach Hilary Zimmerline has options to replace them
In the middle, Junior Courtney Follmann was the setter with 434 assists and had 22 aces — Zimmerline says she will be a key player for CAM this year
Junior Kylee Williamson (219 digs) returns as the libero. Sophomores Keely Kinney and Kendra Nelson will be defensive specialists and Senior Kaitlyn Platt will be on the back row. Zimmerline says there were not many players who changed positions in the off-season so roles will be clearly defined
CAM opens their volleyball season in a tournament hosted by AHSTW this Saturday.
