(Atlantic) The Atlantic Volleyball team hosted a clinic on Saturday, and now focuses on the season opener at Nodaway Valley on Thursday.
Atlantic Head Coach Alyssa Boltz welcomes the return of setters senior Zoey Kirchhoff (207 assists) and Peyton McLaren (102 assists) from last season. Boltz says currently nine players are figuring into the rotation.
Jayci Reed led the team in kills one year ago with 84. Jillian Saathoff playing middle was right behind with 54. Adler Bruce, 31, and Olivia Olsen, 30. Taylee Hagen led the team in digs with 168.
The Trojans travel to Nodaway Valley on Thursday, with the first serve at 7:00 p.m. They will compete at the AHSTW Tournament on Saturday, August 30, and play Riverside, CAM, Earlham, AHSTW, MVAOCOU, and East Mills. The Trojans’ home opener is September 2, against Red Oak. The first serve is at 7:15. We will have the broadcast on 95.7 F.M., and live-streamed on westerniowatoday.com TV, and YouTube.
