(Atlantic) Dave Sturm of Snyder and Associates released more information on the road construction work in downtown Atlantic.
Sturm says the milling work downtown has progressed nicely. Sturm believes the milling work was completed on Friday, and all roads are open to traffic until the asphalt work commences.
Sturm says the asphalt portion of the project could start as early as Monday, August 25.
The contractor plans to close West 22nd Street on Wednesday and begin the milling work. Grading work will follow shortly after, but this section of 22nd Street from Palm Street to Highway 6 will be closed for several weeks.
Sturm says the latest information on Commerce and State Street is that they plan to move to town the week of August 25. More information on that will be released when it becomes available.
