(Brayton) Bridge work continues on Highway 71 north of Brayton in Audubon County. Scott Suhr, District Planner for the Iowa Department of Transportation, says the slab bridge project is open to one lane of traffic directed by temporary traffic signals.
Suhr says the contractor has driven the pile and is currently doing the sub-deck work. He said once the slab is poured on that portion of the deck, they will install the barrier rail, wait for it to cure, and switch traffic to the other side.
Suhr says the plan is to have this project completed sometime in November.
