(Red Oak) — The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to approve the Beacon Bundle Basics package during their regular meeting.
BEACON provides property data to lenders, appraisers, insurance companies, and other real estate professionals. Montgomery County Auditor Jill Ozuna noted she is especially interested in the program’s pie chart graphic, which shows how property taxes are broken down.
The add-on package includes account management tools, data extraction, comp report generation, sales searches, property tax estimators, and document access. It also provides advertising options.
Beacon Bundle Representative Susan Dickmeyer says the system could be used for public service announcements, such as posting PDF notices of road closures or other county updates.
Jill Ozuna says in addition, the system allows for bulk printing of forms, including homestead exemption applications, military tax credit forms, and change-of-address documents.
The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved the Beacon Bundle Basics at a cost of $3,996 per year, with a one-time setup fee of $2,997.
