(Des Moines) The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for all of Southwest, central, and a couple of counties in west central Iowa.
Forecasters expect index values up to 105 degrees from 1:00 p.m. today through 7:00 p.m. this evening.
This includes all counties in southwest Iowa south of Interstate 80, and Harrison and Monona counties.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
