(Storm Lake, IA) — A 12-year-old Storm Lake boy faces criminal charges after allegedly leading authorities on a high-speed chase. The Storm Lake Police Department received calls of a reckless driver yesterday afternoon and reportedly identified a 12-year-old boy as the suspect. The boy is accused of attempting to flee officers while driving at high speeds in construction zones and driving against traffic at one point during the chase. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody. The boy was given juvenile referrals for multiple charges, including felony eluding and two counts of reckless driving.
