(Red Oak) An early morning fire caused damage to a Red Oak gas station Monday.
According to the Red Oak Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 5:10 a.m. to the Lincoln BP at 1710 N. Broadway after reports that the building was full of smoke.
Firefighters entered the building and found that an ice machine in the back room had caught fire. The waterline supplying the machine had been damaged by the flames, which ultimately helped extinguish the blaze before it could spread further.
The ice machine and the surrounding area sustained damage, and the store will remain closed until further notice.
No injuries were reported.
Assisting at the scene were the Red Oak Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County 911, and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.
