(Union Co) A Creston man died following a motorcycle pursuit and accident in Union County.
The incident occurred Sunday at 1:13 p.m. on Highway 34. 55-year-old Tony Dean Fizer was driving a 2022 Harley-Davidson eastbound when Creston Police attempted a traffic stop. Fizer was exceeding the speed limit and attempted to elude officers at a high rate of speed.
He continued eastbound on Highway 34 past Afton when he lost control while navigating a curve near the 94-mile marker. The motorcycle ran onto the shoulder and overturned, throwing Fizer from the bike.
Fizer was transported to Greater Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
