(Delaware County) Two people died in a head-on collision in Delaware County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 6:15 p.m. on Highway 38 and 310th Avenue. Authorities identified the deceased as 33-year-old Anthony Nile Mentzer, of Monticello, and 44-year-old Bobbi Jo Bauers of Delhi, Iowa.
According to the report, Mentzer was driving a northbound 1994 Chevrolet K1500 pickup on Highway 38 when a southbound 2006 Volkswagen Beetle crossed the centerline and struck the pickup head-on.
Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
