(Harlan) On Thursday, July 31, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to 204 2nd Avenue in Earling for a welfare check.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office press release, based on information received, deputies entered the residence and located 32-year-old Theresa Kenkel deceased inside the home. Kenkel’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office believes this is an isolated incident, and there is no reason to believe there is a threat to the public.
