(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning approved a resolution awarding a contract for the south N28 resurfacing project.
Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken said resurfacing will be done on N28 from Highway 92 south to the county line.
Wolken said they had a letting with the DOT on July 15th and received four bids. The low bid, which was approved by the board, came from Blacktop Service Company out of Humboldt at $2,844,394.87. The late start date is September 9th and the company has 45 working days to complete the project. The roadway will not be completely closed; a pilot car will be in use.
In other action, the Supervisors approved a wage adjustment for Sheriff’s Office Assistant Mandy Parks, they approved the issuance of a credit card to new Cass County Environmental Control Director Chris Jahnke, and the board approved a resolution designating the voting representatives for the Iowa State Association of Counties.
