(Greenfield, IA) — The Nodaway Valley Wolverines baseball team is looking to bounce back next season after a 4-16 season this year and an early playoff exit to the Martensdale-St. Mary’s Blue Devils in the first round. Head Coach Dan Jameson says that the team showed improvement in the latter half of their schedule and hopes that the team will take the experience they gained from this season into next year:
The Wolverines graduate Trenton Warner, Christian Putney, Eli Harris, and Paul Berg, and have a lot of younger talent to take their place. Freshman Titan Foster averaged .400 at the plate this season, and Jameson is proud of his performance as the leadoff hitter:
Harris was the ace for the Wolverines this season, pitching 27 innings with an ERA of 3.59. Ty Strode was right behind him with just as many innings pitched and a slightly higher ERA, and Jameson says that Strode will get more action on the mound next season:
The Nodaway Valley Wolverines will have plenty of talent returning next season, such as Foster and juniors Keyin Steeve and Remington Woosley, as they look to see more success in the 2026 season.
