The AHSTW Vikings baseball team finished with a record of 4-19 on the season following a 3-2 loss against ACGC in the playoffs and struggled to find their way throughout the season. The Vikings were a young team with a couple of seniors this season and it took a while for the younger guys to settle in.
Head coach Trey Brix says they were a better team in the second half of the season than the record showed.
The Vikings had a total of three seniors on the roster and all three of them made an impact on the team. On the pitchers mound Aiden Akers led the team in innings pitched and despite having a 1-5 record, posted an impressive 2.12 ERA on the season.
Braden Fineran led the team in multiple hitting stats including batting average, hitting .357 on the season. Cash Beatty had a different impact on the team, one that does not show up in the book says Brix.
As AHSTW heads into next season, Brix says the younger guys need some development physically and to gain some confidence for next season.
