(Des Moines) A line of storms packing high winds swept through southwest Iowa early this morning. Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for portions of Audubon, Cass, Northern Adair, Guthrie, Dallas, and Madison counties, continuing into the central part of the state.
*At 12:04, a personal weather station reported a wind gust of 67 miles per hour two miles south of Willey in Carroll County.
*At 12:14, an 82-mile-per-hour wind gust was reported one mile northwest of Coon Rapids in Carroll County, according to a personal weather station.
*At 12:36, a 75-mile-per-hour wind gust was reported in Bagley in Guthrie County.
The forecast for today calls for a high temperature of 82 degrees, 83 on Friday, 88 on Saturday, 92 on Sunday, 94 on Monday, 90 on Tuesday, and a cool-down for Wednesday with a high of 81 degrees.
