(Union County) A Des Moines man suffered injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday on 150th Street approximately one quarter of a mile east of Pheasant Avenue. Authorities say 26-year-old Alexander Ramos Terrazas was injured in the crash.
According to the report, Terrazas driving a westbound 2017 Mach Pumper drifted too close to the roadside while approaching the top of the hill. The passenger side tires dropped off into the ditch causing the vehicle to continue down into the ditch where the vehicle rolled onto its’ passenger side due to the steepness of the ditch.
Medic One transported Terrazas to the Greater Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The pumper truck sustained $10,000 damage,
