(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors are looking to reorganize the county engineering department. Josh Sebern, the County Head Engineer proposed to add new more engineers to the staff after losing one recently. He says the number of upcoming projects dictate a need
Sebern says there will also be two major highway projects coming up in the next four years and currently there five engineers on staff and they will tapped to the limit if nobody else is added. Sebern says the extra staff could also help save money in other areas
Sebern also says they can use drones to surveying which would mean that would not have to pay an outside contractor to do it. The Supervisors gave Sebern a green light to pursue hiring the new engineers.
