(Atlantic) Livestock events are a staple of the Cass County Fair, showcasing the hard work and dedication of 4-H, FFA, and Clover Kid members. From Thursday, July 24 through Tuesday, July 29, fairgoers will have plenty of opportunities to watch local youth exhibit their animals and talents in the show ring.
Members have spent the past year caring for animals and developing showmanship skills in preparation for fair week. Events include the Pet Show, Livestock Judging, Clover Kid Animal Show, and many more. Livestock competitions begin Thursday afternoon with the Horse Show and wrap up with the Livestock Sale on Tuesday.
Visitors are encouraged to walk through the barns throughout the week to view the wide variety of animals on display and support the exhibitors by attending shows and events.
Keeping everything running behind the scenes is the Cass County Fairboard, made up of dedicated volunteers who plan the fair year-round and ensure smooth operations during the busy week.
The 2025 Cass County Fairboard includes:
President Curtis Bierbaum, Vice President Mike Dreager, Secretary Liz Denney, Treasurer Stephen Ritter, Trevor Becker, Shane DeBord, Eric Hansen, Paul Hocamp, Jon Johnson, Mike Jacobsen, Cory Scholl, Grant Stuart, Wayne Victor, and Drew Williams.
Now in its fourth year, the Junior Fairboard program gives senior 4-H and FFA members a chance to get involved in fair planning and help out during events. This year’s Junior Fairboard includes Aly Dreager.
