(Atlantic) Atlantic and Harlan matchup tonight in a Class 3A, Region 8 quarterfinal. Harlan enters post-season play with a (7-23) record. Atlantic is (26-13). Note the game time has been moved to 8:00 p.m.
The Trojans started the season with eight veteran players and a handful of youngsters. Coach Hinzmann says the young players have shown significant improvement.
The Trojans topped the Cyclones in a doubleheader on June 2, 12-0 and 8-1. However, Harlan ended the season winning six out of their final 11 regular-season games. Atlantic Head Coach Terry Hinzmann says Harlan has gotten better since the first meeting in early June.
Harlan Head Coach Brett Croghan said the key will be stepping up, swinging the bat, and trying to keep the Trojan hitters off balance.
