(Greenfield, IA) — Nodaway Valley softball will have a tough first round match up tonight as they visit Carroll Kuemper in Class 2A Region 1. The Wolverines won 3 of their first 4 games but then lost 11 in a row. Co Head Coach Ryan Zenor says it was tough to keep the girls hopes up during the losing streak but finally got on the winning track on July 2
Emma Boswell leads Nodaway Valley’s offense, batting .390 with 4 HR and 13 RBI. Izzy Eisbach is hitting .350, Taylor Laughery is batting .320. They will face a Knights team that is hitting .331 as a team and led by Charlotte Schwabe at .459. Neither team has strong numbers in the circle so this could be a offensive slugfest but Zenor knows that Kuemper has played a hard schedule
Nodaway Valley is 5-12, Kuemper Catholic is 12-19. Game time is 7 pm in Carroll.
