(Audubon, IA) — Audubon will host Glidden Ralston in a baseball first round game tonight at 7 pm, coverage on KSOM.
The Wheelers have won the last four meetings between the two teams although Audubon has not won many games late during this regular season. The Wheelers have lost 6 of their last 7 however many of the losses have been close. 9-4 to Logan Magnolia, 5-2 to Treynor, 5-3 to Tri Center, 4-3 to CAM. Head Coach Eric Borkowski says they are doing all the right things but just haven’t pull out the wins
Audubon comes in at 6-15; Borkowski will not reveal his starter but is deciding between Adam Obrecht (3-4, 5.49 ERA) and Carson Wessel (2-2, 6.61 ERA). Offensively, Borkowski has shuffled the line up to make it more efficient
Glidden Ralston is 8-12 and is led by Jonathan Bergmeier (.431, 0, 7) and Blayce Nelson (.377, 0, 12). They do not have much power — just one homer as a team — but Borkowski says they like to run the bases. Nelson will be the Wildcats likely starter who is 4-2 and a 2.96 ERA and Borkowski says he throws strikes
Audubon hosts Glidden Ralston tonight, game time 7 pm right after Stanton and Griswold, coverage on KSOM.
