(Adams Co) Two people were arrested on drug charges in Adams County.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says on June 6th, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 Ford F350 for speeding. Upon contact with the driver, the Deputy observed an odor of marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. The driver, 32-year-old Renessa Renee Salinas of Waterloo, was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 2nd Offense. After arriving at the Adams County Jail, Salinas admitted to having a folded dollar bill in her wallet that had a crystalline white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Salinas was booked into the Adams County Jail for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense. Additionally, Salinas was cited for Speed, Driving Under Suspension, and Operating Without SR-22 Insurance.
On June 11th, the Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Kenton Ray Ward, of Missouri, for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) and Possession of Paraphernalia. The charges stem from a traffic stop at Highway 25 and 265th Street. Ward was transported to the Adams County Jail and booked in.
In other activity, Zach Gilbert, of Nodaway, was arrested on June 6th for Domestic Abuse Assault- Strangulation Causing Bodily Injury.
