Jeanette Lucille Bergstrom entered eternal life on Jun 27,2025, at the age of 89 years. A funeral service for Jeanette will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Griswold United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at the church. Interment will be in Whipple Cemetery. Rieken Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is assisting the family.
Jeanette was born to Loren and Gayle Frain Bradshaw on June 27,1936, along with a twin sister, Geneva. Nine years later brother Larry was born. The family lived in the Macedonia area before moving to a farm west of Griswold, where they farmed and milked cows and raised chickens.
Jeanette graduated from the Griswold Community School in 1954. On April 17,1955, Jeanette married Lyle Bergstrom, in a double wedding ceremony with Geneva and Kermit Amos at the Griswold United Methodist Church. To this union they had four children: Greg, twins – Diane and Denny, and Glenda. They lived in the Oakland area before moving to a farm west of Griswold. The family moved to town in 1974.
Jeanette enjoyed dancing, gardening, sewing, and helping Lyle on the farm and helping the kids with their 4-H projects. She also enjoyed camping with family and friends. She was a very active member of the Methodist Church and worked at the Griswold Coop Telephone Co for 22 years. She loved spending time with her 7 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her Husband, Lyle, son Greg, parents and marital parents, son in law, Gerald Rieber, brother in laws, Kermit Amos and Lloyd Bergstrom. Surviving are her children: Diane Rieber of Macedonia, Denny (Guyla) Bergstrom of Kiowa OK., and Glenda (Jim) Wyman of Griswold; grandchildren: Brayton (Lindsey) Bergstrom Allen, Kasey (Brock) Brown, Kelsey Bergstrom, JC (Keyla) Wyman, Jared (Bethany) Wyman, Jonathan (Bridget) Wyman, Jodi (Alex) Broadbent; 15 great grandchildren; sister Geneva Smith; brother Larry (Barbara) Bradshaw; sisters-in-law, Lucille Bergstrom and Norma (Don) Landon; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
