(Atlantic) Dave Sturm of the engineering firm Snyder and Associates appeared at Wednesday’s City Council meeting, discussing the many construction projects scheduled to begin in earnest next month.
One of the major projects is the closure of West 22nd Street. Sturm mentioned the contractors will start pipe work next week, but it will not involve a road closure. The entire project is scheduled to start sometime in July.
Sturm says West 22nd Street from Highway 6 to Palm Street will be closed to thru-traffic for several months during reconstruction.
Sturm says that, along with the downtown project and the north paving project, this project will result in an immense amount of construction work in the city over the next several months.
