(Boone, IA) — The road to Carroll is now open — the Iowa High School Athletic Association has released playoff brackets for baseball teams in Class 1A and 2A. All first round games will be on Saturday, July 5 and 2nd round games are on Tuesday, July 8. District finals are on July 12 and Substate finals July 15.
For another year, CAM and Coon Rapids Bayard are in the same district. The Crusaders are the top seed in 1A, Substate 8 and has a first round bye. They will play the winner of Glidden Ralston @ Audubon. CAM will host Ar-We-Va in the first round. Logan Magnolia is the 2nd seed in the substate and will host Exira EHK in the first round. AC/GC will play AHSTW in the first round at Woodbine.

In Class 1A Substate 7, Martensdale St. Mary’s is the top seed and will face the winner of Stanton and Griswold which will be played at Audubon. Lenox is the 2 seed and will host Essex. Bedford is the three seed and will host Riverside.

In Class 2A, Substate 8, Underwood is the number one seed and has a first round bye — the Eagles will face the winner of Clarinda and Shenandoah. Tri Center is the 2 seed and will play the winner of Nodaway Valley and West Central Valley.
