Erma Lee Zenor, age 91, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Stanton. Erma was born April 14, 1934, in East River Township in Page County, Iowa. She was raised in Page County and graduated from Clarinda High School in 1952. After graduation Erma worked at the Page County Department of Social Welfare and the Montgomery County Department of Social Welfare. Erma was united in marriage to Billy “Bill” Zenor on September 12, 1953, in Clarinda, Iowa. To this union four sons were born, Dennis, Randy, Craig and Scott. Erma and Bill moved to Red Oak in 1953 and lived in Red Oak their entire married life. Erma spent many years babysitting for area families. She loved children. Erma was involved with the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed sewing and watching her children and grandchildren participating in sports.
Preceding her in death were her parents, sisters: Joyce and Esther in infancy and Janice Judson, and granddaughter: Jacinta Maria Zenor. Survivors include her husband: Bill Zenor of Red Oak, Iowa; sons: Dennis Zenor and wife Janet of Red Oak, Iowa, Randy Zenor and wife Rene of Stanton, Iowa, Craig Zenor and wife Terri of Underwood, Iowa and Scott Zenor and wife Becky of Glenwood, Iowa; grandchildren: Anthony Zenor and wife Donna of Carroll, Iowa, William Zenor, Kyle Zenor and Tristin Zenor all of Denison, Iowa, Adam Zenor of Red Oak, Iowa, Ashley Oser and husband Jake of Chillicothe, Missouri, Ryan Zenor and wife Stacie of Greenfield, Iowa, Rachelle Focht and husband Aaron of Villisca, Iowa, Jeremy Zenor and wife Mandy of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Kelsey Geise and husband Bryan of Underwood, Iowa, Zachary Zenor and significant other Megan of Glenwood, Iowa and Jacob Zenor and fiancée Maia Smiley of Glenwood, Iowa; and many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, from 5-7 PM at LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association.
