(Des Moines) Richard Elmer Steil, convicted of Burglary 1st degree and assault on Peace Officers in Polk County, failed to report back to Fort Des Moines building 68 as required on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Steil is a 46-year-old, 6’3, 281-pound white male. He was admitted to the work release facility on October 21, 2024.
