(Guthrie Co) A Panora man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Guthrie County last week.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 4:58 p.m. on May 7th. 77-year-old Gerald Christensen was driving a 1997 Honda GL1500 Valkyrie motorcycle southbound in the 2500 block of Wagon Road, negotiating a left-hand curve with a slight downhill grade. Christensen failed to negotiate the curve and left the roadway to the right, striking the cable barrier. The motorcycle knocked over three or four cable barrier poles and then went airborne and overturned. Christensen was ejected.
Christensen was transported by Panora EMS to Methodist Downtown Des Moines.
