(Des Moines) District #18 Republican State Representative Tom Moore from Griswold has ten bills for week 17 of the Iowa Legislative Session.
HF 998 – IDALS Code Clean Up – Contains several code cleanups that the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship is requesting and recommending. Vote 83-0
HF 999 – Grain Indemnity Program Updates – Makes several modernizing changes to the state grain indemnity program. Vote 79-3
HH 1013 – Property Tax Disaster Areas – Provides partial property tax exemption for inevitable disaster-related housing. Vote 78-5
HF 976 – Dept. of Revenue Technical Bill – Makes numerous changes to the dept. Of revenue.. Vote 84-0
HF 952 – DAS State Contracts – Updates rules concerning events on the grounds surrounding the Capitol. Vote 58-26
SF 314 – Real Estate Brokerage Agreements – Cleans up last year’s brokerage bill to clarify which properties are exempt from the required agreements. It clarifies that license applications allow for changes between a salesperson and a broker license. Vote 84-0
HF 787 – Iowa Education Reform Bill: Teacher Salaries and Preparation – Modifies the calculation of teacher salary supplement district cost per pupil to ensure it meets minimum salary requirements, including costs associated with retirement contributions.
