(Guthrie Center) — There were no team standings at Gonzales/Parrish Invitational hosted by AC/GC. Here are the team by team recaps:
AC/GC Girls: Ava Campbell won the 800 (2:27.79) and the 1500 (season PR of 4:47.82). Cadence Petersen won the 400 Hurdles (season PR of 1:09.63) and was 2nd in the High Jump. Meranda Gruber was 3rd in the 100 Hurdles with a season PR of 18.16. The Distance Medley relay won at 4:48.93 with Nora Langgard, Gruber, Lilli Lauzon and Brooklyn Shafer. The Chargers also finished 2nd with season PRs in the 4×100 (54.31) and 4×400 (4:21.79).
AC/GC Boys: The Chargers lost a fast Shuttle Hurdle relay to Treynor but their 2nd place finish got them a season PR of 1:03.61 with Morgun Nolte, Tate Fever, Brexton Schneider and Tommy Skram. The Sprint Medley relay won with Joe Crawford, Schneider, Eli Madsen and Dean Vela. Madsen won the 400 at 50.32 and got a season PR by .01 second. Preston Kent won the 3200 (10:48.50) and was 2nd in the 1600 but got a season PR of 4:59.85. Tate Fever won the 400 Hurdles with a season PR 55.16 and was 3rd in the 110 Hurdles with a PR of 15.21. Mike Fuller was 2nd in both throws with a season PR in the Shot Put (50-00.50; 144-10.50 in the Discus).
Audubon Girls: Taryn Petersen was 2nd in the 200; Brooklyn Snider 4th in the 400 Hurdles with a season PR of 1:20.81. The Wheelers won the Sprint Medley relay with Liv Imman, Jaelynn Petersen, Kadence Sporrer and Taryn Petersen. The same four ladies finished 2nd in the 4×200 with a season PR of 1:54.10.
Audubon Boys: Aiden Kjeergaard had a big night with two season PRs, finishing 2nd in the 800 (2:10.97) and 3rd in the 1600 (5:11.13). Carson Wessel was 3rd in the 400 Hurdles. The Wheelers got two season PRs in their relays — the 4×200 was 3rd at 1:35.75 and the Distance Medley was 3rd at 3:50.95.
Exira EHK Boys: Austin Rasmussen had rarely competed in the 800 but he did on Thursday night and posted 2:12.62 which is a season PR and fastest on the team and finished 4th; Rasmussen won the 1600 with a season PR of 4:54.41.
Treynor Boys: Jett Sornson won the 100 at 11.20 and was 3rd in the 200. Cauy Konz wo the 200 at 21.91. Brady Wallace won the 110 Hurdles at 13.99. The Cardinals were first in the 4×100 (43.07), 4×200 (1:30.84) and Shuttle Hurdle relays (1:03.10). Drew Meyers was 2nd in the 100; Riley Lauver 2nd in the High Jump and Jeyden Jensen 2nd in the 3200.
