(Neola, IA) — Tri Center Boys Track and Field is having a successful season. The Trojans have balance up and down their line up — they may not have a spectacular flashy runner but are solid in most events. Head Coach Gene Johnson says his best relay right now is the 4×400 which is only about 2 seconds away from a school record
Audio PlayerJohnson says that the Sprint Medley relay is pretty close to a school record as well. Individually, Johnson says that Freshman Haven Weers in the 1 and 2 mile races has been running at the front of the pack in most every meet
Audio PlayerSenior Brennan Boden is the team leader in the 800; Senior Carter Kunze leads in the 400, 200 and long jump; and the Trojans have freshmen and sophomores in the shot put and discus that Johnson says are improving but not yet able to break into the top 5 of meets. Tri Center only has one meet this week and the Western Iowa Conference meet is Tuesday, May 5 and Johnson is looking for times to come down
