(Atlantic, IA) — Evan Sorenson of Atlantic excelled in not just one sport but two with the Trojans and now he hopes to do at the next level. On Friday, Sorenson announced he will be going to Central College in Pella, IA to dual sport in football and wrestling. Audio PlayerSorenson says that the wrestling coaches resisted him dual sporting but eventually came around — he says the football coaches were supportive the entire time. In football, Sorenson says the coaches have not told him what position he will play but he prefers Defensive Tackle. In wrestling, Sorensen was heavyweight his senior season at Atlantic and it will be similar at Central. He says he’s ready to put in the work.
